It is almost unimaginable that our parents and grandparents still knew a world without plastic until the mid-twentieth century. Barely three generations after the new "miracle product" was introduced to the market, our earth is awash with a stream of plastic waste that grows larger every year. Together, we - old and young - will now have to turn the tide of plastic pollution.
